Pear and Partridge

I wanted to post all the layouts that I made with Close to my Heart paper, Pear & Partridge.  I used the Rub on Complements and the Dimensional Elements - Holiday to help with the embellishing.  I cut the title Merry Christmas, with the Artiste Cricut cartridge and covered it with prisma glitter. I used the inspiration from Karen Pederson for some of the layouts.

Moonlighting Workshop

These are two of the Moonlighting layouts that we will be doing for scrapbooking class on the 15th of Nov. The third page will be a surprise. I love the colors that are included in this paper packet.  We will be using the sturdy Moonlight complements dimensional elements, the haunted assortment and the adorable black Glamour glitter alphabet stickers.  I have enjoyed using the CTMH Cricut cartridge, Artiste with the top layout.  The stamp set that comes with the Workshop on the go is so adorable with the lamp post, mummy and spider web just to name a few of the shapes. I have a great leader that helped designed the lower page Karen Pederson.  You may want to start following her blog, she is an awesome artist.  www.karenpederson.blogspot.com

Crusin August Workshop Layout

This is our 2 page layout for our class on the 16th of August.  This is the Crusin paper packet from Close to my Heart.  I like the juniper  and black neutrals with a splash of Cranberry which can work for all sorts of out side pictures.  The title Road Trip, can be changed to your own personal choice.

Superhero layouts 1 and 2

These pictures of Mount Rushmore worked well with the Superhero paper packet from Close to my Heart.  We went there, this year for our road trip vacation.

oopps. I forgot that I took this picture without on of the pictures on it. It sure looks better with the last picture added.

Superhero layouts

This is one of my many favorites layouts from CTMH idea books.  It is the third layout from our Superhero paper workshop .  It's an extra layout that went unclaimed so I just adapted it to work for our vacation to Wash. D.C. Thankfully these layouts are from different time periods and will not be close to each other.

This layout is from our recent vacation to Yellowstone during the Fourth of July.

Picture Frames

These are three of the many picture frames that we made last month at our Saturday workshop.  The first on the left uses Sonoma paper, next is Baby pink card stock and the last is old paper called Game On.
We also made these shadow boxes with the names of our families, which will hold our family photo.

10 Page Footloose Workshop

These are a few of the 10 pages that were from the Footloose paper packet.  There is even a few scrapes left over after 10 pages were created.  Notice how versital this paper is.  These are pictures of Bear Lake and also of our weekend at Eagle Point.  The instructions are easy to cut and follow if you are still interested in this workshop you can still get it, just let me know.

Remember you have till the end of the month to By Two Get One FREE!  What a great time to get some stamps that you have always wanted. Shop here and enjoy the savings.

I know that this is late to post our May scrapbook pages.  I used the Lucy paper packet from Close to my Heart. It is flowery and girly, just what I like.  These are pictures of last years Memorial Day when we were up in Evanston.  Our friend made these beautiful flowers for us to bring to St. George to place on Jaymie's headstone.
My brother and his family drove from Florida and met us in Evanston.  As usual it snowed in Evanston.

Victory Class pages

These are the 3 layouts that we will be doing for our class this Thurs. April 12th.  We are using the Victory paper from Close to my Heart.  This first layout is from their workshop on the go, and the other 2 layouts were designed by Karen Pederson.  When I saw her great layouts I knew we would love to reproduce them.  She used the Tough tags  as adorable accents.

I used some of the pictures that we took while up at Zion Canyon and Elk Meadows (Eagles Nest).  My brother and his family were with us this last summer.  The victory paper is great for any outdoor activity like camping, hunting, picnicing, hiking ect.  If you want to see the pictures enlarged just click on the one you want to see.

Studio J

This is when Trevor was in the Dickens Festival Play Scrooge.
He was one of the Cratchet children and I was even in the chorus.

I was even a man in one of the dance scenes.
Trevor loves Egyptian history and he even drew and painted this on his bedroom wall.
When he moved to the upstairs bedroom we decided to paint over his artwork.
If you notice on the right layout the picture of the lady was two pictures and with Studio J,
I was able to make them look thike one picture.
I have made several new layouts with CTMH's, Studio J online scrapbooking program.  They have made some new additions and updates to it.  I have so much fun creating on line.  I will include just a few of them.

Florentine patchwork Layout

This is another layout that I had to scraplift from Tamatha Jenkins. If you are not a follower of her blog you should be.  Her artwork is awesome.  Think of this layout as having the left page turned 1/4 to match the patchwork and picture.  I just had to copy it some way, and since my picutres had to face this way I had to rotate.  I love how the patches pop! Hope you enjoy it.

Florentine final Layout

Third Layout
This is the 3rd layout of the Florentine workshop.  I haven't finished the title page because I have to think of a good 1word title.  The Florentine was one of my favorite paper packets.  It has the colors for our door pictures, which is what I take a lot of.   The workshop will be Thursday March 15th. I was nervous about coloring the seambinding ribbon, but it went smoothly.  What a great idea to be able to make your own color of ribbon with what ever project.  I liked the twisted look to make a center for a flower or what ever you choose.

Florentine Workshop

I can't believe that it has been that long since I have added a post.  Maybe because I have been sewing more than scrapbooking.  I have completed 4 pages of Florentine workshop on the Go.  I have been wanting to scrap these pictures of our California trip for quite some time. (I guess they are only 2 years old.) I wanted to use this paper right away, when I saw it in the new catalog.  The second set of pages was origionaly meant for something feminine. I hope you don't think I am too weird adding beach theme accents, maybe they are just subtle enough that it dosent take away from the layout.   I will have the last set ready in just a few more days. Let me know what you think.

Typset Layout

Each layout is for a different school experience from Trevor school.
This is the Typeset paper packet with a back to school theme. I got this layout idea from a fellow consultant, Aron Brown. I have made this 2 page layout to be each individual or a pair. In my case, I am using them as each individual title pages, but they were meant to be used together. Just make them your “own”. The first page is titled “bk 2 skl” or back to school. I have poped up the 4X6 picture of Trevor and placed a journal tag behind it. The second page has Trevors school year grade, and then the great cricut letters “fun”. So that’s how I made them to be individualized.
If you haven't figured it out yet that I love to put banners on my pages and the Cricut cartridge from CTMH is just perfect to cut out all the different banners, in different sizes.

Frame with Flowers

I love the 3D flowers that the CTMH Cricut Cartridge makes.  I used the paper from the Wonerland paper pack.  This paper will not be available after January 31st.
Close up of the 3D flowers

Elemental Sacred Grove

Sacred Grove
I created this layout when I first got my hands on the Elemental paper. I thought that this paper reminded me of a quilt, and also this layout from the Imagine idea book.  I created this layout with that in mind.  We are at the Sacred Grove in Palmyra N.Y.  It is such a beautiful area you must be there to appreciate it.  The banner I made using the CTMH Cricut cartridge and the Pennant alphabet.  I love this chocolate stripe ribbon which is so versatile, and it comes in a roll of 5 yards.  You will be able to use it alot.  Thankfully it is staying in the new catalog.
WAIT! did I mention the new catalog?  Yes, Close To My Heart has a new catalog that will be live February 1st. I have it and can't wait for you to see the new papers, embellishments, stamp sets and much more.  Just think Super Hero.

Elemental January Club Pages

Orange County Fair using elemental paper.
When I first saw the Elemental Papers from Close to my Heart, I thought of a quilt.  So when I made our layout for Jan. I began to form a quilt pattern (sort of). I wasn't to happy with the layout so I created a new one which is not quilt like at all.  I hope you like the one I chose for our class. This layout is pictures of our trip to California, when we went to the Orange County Fair. Thus the title O.C. Fair. Trevor is not in any of these pictures because he didn't want to hang around with the two of us, so we went sight seeing without him.  I will include the other layout later.
