Believe Studio J

I had so much fun creating this layout in Studio J, using the Believe paper kit.  How cool is that I was able to include so many pictures on this layout.  Close to my heart has added several new tools to their program so you can make each layout your own.  For example, check out the reindeer.  I used the stitching tool to stitch the rope connecting each little reindeer sticker, also the two banners were made from "scratch".  Don't forget that you can use the paper and color it to your own liking.  These are just a few of the many fun tricks that Studio J offers.  You can always click on a picture to enlarge it.

Mischeif Layouts

Layout #A
Layout #B
Layout #C
I am really cutting it close to get our 6 page layouts done for November.  I just barely completed them.   I wanted to make a layout without using a Halloween theme design to them.  The last layout can be changed to a Halloween theme with just a few little changes of the stamped design and of course changing the title.  The Mischief paper packet from Close to my Heart is so versatile.  If you click on the pictures you will see that I made a fake backing by inking directly on the pictures with archival ink from CTMH, it was so fun and easy.  Another product that I finally used is the adhesive eraser.  With these papers being so versatile by having both  sides useful I placed a lot of adhesive on the wrong side of one of the paper pieces and the eraser removed it perfectly.  Thank heaven.

November Swap

These are Jiffy's pages.  She used the Mischeif paper packet.  We were excited to see what she had done with this Mischeif paper and we were as usual totaly impressed.  Way to go Jiffy!
These are my pages using the Roxie paper packet.  Several elements were cut with the new Cricut cartaradge from Close to my Heart.
This is Ambers layout using a popular paper packet, Lucky.  All of thought she was so creative with the use of Duct tape. Yea for her, she had our tape already scrunched and backed, which made it easy for us to add to our own pages.  I love the great title with mixed fonts and deapths.  She was atamat that we smooch down the mini brads ont the letter F so they looked like nail heads and not just plain brads. Out came the hammer and we pounded them flat.
This is Mindies layout and she used the Wonderland paper.  I just love the cute snowman, she popped up several aspects of this cute little guy.  Remember that Close to my heart has many snowflake images that coordinate with their stamps, and this is one of them.  The pretty bling is also from CTMH.
This is Kirsten's layout, using Closet to my Heart's whimsical Fanfare paper packet.  Again I took the picture wrong.  The pages shoud be switched.  I think that I should have had the designer arrange the pages befor I took the pictures.
This is Linda's Layout, she used Sophia paper packet. Look close at the flowers and you will see that she made a patchwork of the paterned paper. I hope Linda forgives me because when I took this picture I noticed that the page on the left needs to be rotated so the big flower is growing from the bottom. Sorry Linda.

We had a great time today sharing our pages and completing 5 layouts. We even had time for a quick lunch. Be sure to check them all out and then decide which one is your favorite. It was a hard decision for me. We completed the 10 pages in about 5 or so hours. Each set brought, was cut out and stamped, then we destressed and assembled.

Picture Frame

I made these flowers with my livingroom in mind and used the red paper from the Believe paper packet.  Again I can't say enough about the CTMH Cricut Cartardge.  The black and the white picture frame with flowers will also be offered at my workshop for $6.  We will be able to do the Advent Calendar Box, clock covered with flowers, black or white picture frames and Wonderland Christmas cards, so set your calendars for Saturday Dec. 3rd.

I had to include both pictures because my camera and the lighting was strange.  You take your pick, these are both the same flowers.  Hope you like it.

Swap layout Roxie

This is the full layout of the swap pages.  I used Roxie paper packet and added a little Bella and Shilouete (both old papers). We had a fun time up in Zion, it was hot but fun. I also finished these pictures with another layout. I have both sets shown.

October scrapbook Class

I am posting this layout even though pictures aren't on the right page.  I didn't like the way they came from the developer.  I'm going to try again somewhere else.  Any way this is our class pages that we will be doing this Thursday October 13th at 7:00.  If you e-mail me with the number of cut outs that were done with the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge you will win a prize.  How cool is it, that the title, Seasons Change is all connected and I used the Close to my heart Cartridge to do it.

No Winner Yet!

There is no winner yet!.  Check out post Art philoposy Cricut Cartaridge and read down to the layout with the leaves and guess how many cuts I made on this page with my Cricut.

Swap left page

Don't look if your want to be surprised for our swap.  This is my nephew Jadon resting while we were hiking up to Emerald pools in Zion Park.  I used Roxie paper along with some old papers, Silhouette and Bella.  I'm so into my Cricut.  I cut the banners, circles and the scallops with it.

Flower Clock

I made this cute clock to go in my bedroom.   I saw one like this on the internet, and thought that our new Cricut cartridge would be just the ticket for the cute little flowers.  I used the new bronze Glitz glitter gel Z1483, in the center of each flower which is  a great add on for just $2.75.  The leaves were also cut using the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  I'm thinking this would be an inexpensive cute gift for someone.

Guess how many cuts I made with the new CRICUT Cartaridge. Are you ready for this? Of course you are! Many of the images coordinate perfectly with dozens of our terrific stamp sets. There are over 700 images on this cartridge and it comes with 3 stamp sets and three 9" x 12" chipboard sheets with shapes that also coordinate. The order number is #Z1686 which you can find the link by clicking on the shopping cart.

The paper packet I used is called, Dreamin.  I know you will be excited because I even used the Cricut for the title, no need to cut by hand on this one.

Christmas Advent Calendar in a Box

What a great time I had last evening with my leader Karen Pederson.  She guided me threw making this advent box for Christmas.  We used the adorable paper packet called Believe, My Creations Memory Game Box and the Green ribbon collection.  I'm thinking this would be a great workshop.

October Class Cluster

This is a picture of the cluster on the first page layout of our October class.  We are using the Dreamin paper packet from Close to my Heart.  I love the colors in this packet because it contains all the beautiful fall colors and incorporated pacific blue. Most of my pictures are taken of our family while we are outside, while we wear blue jeans. Also including the color of our beautiful sky.

Flower Ball

This is my first attempt at a flower ball making the roses from the new Cricut cartridge from Close to my Heart, Art Philosophy.  I used 2, 12X12 pieces of cardstock.  My first flowers are a little too tight, as with practice they loosened up.  I cut the roses at 3, 2.5 and 2 inches.  I got the pearl pins at Michaels.  I know that I saw something like this but I can't locate where.
If you haven't been to Mandy Leany's blog lately, she has a tutorial on how to make the roses.  Her blog is My Passion for Scrapbooking, she does awesome work.  I want to be her when I grow up. I don't know how to include a link so try to google it or look up my last e-mail.

My first post ever

I wanted to start my blog for everyone to see my creations. I have had many requests to have the Sonoma 6 page workshops posted.  So here we ggggoooo.
This is the first layout which is in your Close to my heart guide. You may notice that I changed the layout of the pictures.  I included 4X6 pictures rather than what the directions called for. I think this looks just as good.  You can't tell, but the pansy purple flowers are curled up on the ends.  The ribon is not CTMH.  It is heated ever slightly with your heating tool, which gives it a kinky wild look.

This is the second layout that is in your guide also.

This layout is in the Magic book PP.70.  I have always wanted to creat this layout, but the picture on the left page always freeked me out.  Then I figured that two 4X6 pictures trimmed by half inch
                                                                         which works just fine.

As you know I have been heating up the Cricut machine big time. The Close to my Heart Art Philosphy Cricut cartridge gives you 6 3-D flowers.  There are many other 3-D projects also, like this pillow box that I made into a Christmas sachett (sp?). I was thinking that you could use this pillow box for many different things like, gift box and gift card holder.  I'm sure you can think of many more ideas.  Look at the pretty pink roses on the black picture frame.
